BHP’s copper production increases 9% in FY24
Australian mining giant BHP reported Wednesday a “strong performance” for its copper business after production increased by 9% year-on-year in the financial year ended 30 June (FY24).
During the period, the company produced 1.86 million tonnes of copper, up from 1.71m t produced in FY23. For FY25, BHP expects copper production to be around 1.84-2.04m Kallanish learns.
