US steel mills export fewer tons on-month
US steel mills exported 720,330 short tons of steel in March compared with 761,900st in February, Kallanish learns from reviewing the US Steel Export Monitor.
Export volumes of plates in coils decreased to 41,375st in March from 41,774st in February. Hot rolled coil steel exports fell to 66,539st in March from 92,999st. March’s cut to length plate exports decreased to 84,812st from 90,125st month-on-month.
