CISA members boost steel production to eight-month high
China Iron & Steel Association (CISA) member steelmakers continued to boost steel production in late April, although output was still down on-year, Kallanish notes.
Daily crude steel output of CISA members in late April rose 3.8% from ten days earlier to nearly 2.2 million tonnes, the highest level since late August last year. However, the figure was still 0.33% lower year-on-year.
