Bahrain rebar prices feel pressure amid global sentiment
Bahrain's rebar end-users expect prices to fall and have therefore reduced their rebar intake volumes but increased shipment frequency, allowing them to renegotiate values each time to benefit from declines, notes Kallanish.
Delivered retail rebar tags are unchanged at BD 240-245/tonne ($638-652) on credit, but mills are seeing increasing pressure from traders to soften their prices to and below BD 226.5-230/t, from BD 226.5-233/t in April, on LC 60 days.
