Algerian steelmaker consolidates longs sales, prepares billet export
Algerian Qatari Steel has increased domestic prices for rebar and wire rod by DZD 500/tonne ($4) from last month to DZD 114,000/t ($713/t) ex-works in May, despite weak domestic demand, market participants inform Kallanish.
The price in DZD includes 19% VAT, which is excluded in the dollar-denominated value. The exchange rate is DZD 134.347 per dollar.
